A great fillet mignon recipe to try !
INGREDIENTS
  • 2 lbs. ground beef
  • 1 c. milk
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1 c. catsup
  • 1 c. water
  • 1/4 c. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp. prepared mustard
  • 2 c. cracker crumbs
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 8 slices bacon
  • 1/4 c. vinegar
  • 1/4 c. brown sugar

INSTRUCTIONS
Combine meat, cracker crumbs, salt, pepper and milk; mix well.
Shape into thick round patties (8 or 10). Wrap each patty with bacon slice, pin ends together with toothpicks. Brown patty on both sides. Combine remaining ingredients and pour over patties.
Cook in electric skillet or oven at 350 degrees for 1 hour or until done. The fillet mignon recipe is ready to serve....great ! Enjoy it !

POOR MAN'S FILLET MIGNON

A delicious fillet mignon recipe to try !
INGREDIENTS
  • 1 1/2 lbs. ground beef
  • 1 tsp. sugar
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/8 tsp. pepper

INSTRUCTIONS
Combine these ingredients and form into 4 patties 1 inch thick. Wrap a strip of bacon around edge of each patty and fasten with skewer (toothpick). Make a sauce of:

  • 4 tbsp. salad oil
  • 1/8 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tbsp. vinegar
  • 1/8 tsp. sugar
  • 1/8 tsp. pepper
Pour into a shallow pan, place patties in sauce and refrigerate for 30 minutes. Turn patties over and return to refrigerator for another 30 minutes. Remove from marinade and grill slowly. The fillet mignon recipe is ready to serve....!!! Enjoy it !

INGREDIENTS
  • 2 lbs. fillet mignon
  • 3 slices bacon
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 1/4 c. butter, melted
  • 1/2 c. dry sherry
  • Salt and pepper to taste

INSTRUCTIONS
Fry bacon for 1 minute. Add onions and saute until golden brown. Remove bacon and onion from fry pan. Brown meat on all sides over high heat. Reduce heat and cook for 5 minutes. Add melted butter and sherry and cook for another two minutes or until meat is cooked. Do not over cook meat. Serve with bacon and onions. The fillet mignon is ready to serves 6 persons...nice ! Enjoy it !

  • 1 can Aujur gravy
  • Garlic salt
  • Onions, chopped fine
  • Whole roast
  • Red potatoes

INSTRUCTIONS
Preheat oven to 550 degrees. Put meat in roasting pan with lid.
Pour wine over meat. Cut up potatoes and arrange around meat.
Sprinkle meat and potatoes with garlic salt and onion. Coverwith lid and put in preheated oven. Bake 20 minutes and turn oven off. Do not open door for 2 hours. After 2 hours, take meat and potatoes out and pour in gravy and stir. The fillet mignon is ready to serve...enjoy it !

INGREDIENTS

* Filet Mignon
* Olive Oil
* Shiitake Mushrooms
* Crimini Mushrooms
* Black Pepper
* Brandy
* Beef Stock
* Bulb of Garlic
* Gorgonzola


INSTRUCTIONS

HEAT - 2 teaspoons of olive oil in a large sauté pan over medium heat. Add the mushrooms and cook them until they are soft.
Remove from pan and set aside.
WIPE the pan. Add another teaspoon of olive oil and raise the heat to high.
PAT the steaks dry. Cover each side with pepper . Sear steaks on both sides until a crust forms. Turning only once. Remove the steaks from the pan.
POUR the brandy in the pan and light it on fire baby! When the flame dies down add the beef stock and roasted garlic . Keep cooking until the sauce is reduced, add salt and pepper to taste.

RETURN the steaks to the pan with their juices. Add the mushrooms and heat for 1 minute. Serve the steaks by spooning the mushroom and sauce on top and sprinkling gorgonzola cheese
on top. The fillet mignon recipe is ready to serve....! Enjoy !
